I'm looking, and I admit that it would scare me enough to continue looking elsewhere if I didn't know the all the facts...

The people posting on this thread are not considering purchasing your car. Some of these people will likely not buy a car under concerns the previous owner may have farted in the seat. The paranoia represented on this forum only applies to 2% of the Porsche buying population. It sounds like your car is clean and you're straight forward so I wouldn't stress it, your car will sell at a reasonable price.

Many people are paranoid. However imagine yourself doing your due diligence and a dealer/owner tells you the car is in great shape and then you look at a Porsche service ticket that says the car overheated. Most reasonable people would believe the Porsche service write-up and think the dealer/owner was hiding a defect in the car.

All that may be correct or it may not. To me it boils down to what I said earlier:

Any "stories" on these cars tend to be damaging so why should a perfectly good car be branded with a story that never happened?

So then what is the question you are actually asking? (I dont mean to be rude) If you cant change the service record, then it is what it is?

Per Quad and others, they are stating that a knowledgebale (non paranoid buyer) will get a PPI and if it passes, will buy it regardless of anything else. Paranoid buyers need to buy a 2014 991 for $70K more than your car. And even so will still have issues GLWS

I asked for opinions in order to create a paper trail and it worked. Just got off the phone with the SA who wrote an addendum that will attach to the original service writeup.

Not yet. The guy who got scared of the service report is a friend who's been looking at it.

Did you lose the belt & the water pump was pre-emptive.
I mean the water pump wasn't missing chunks was it. THEN I'd worry. If you just lost a belt, meh
If this has been asked I apologize

The pump seized up but stayed in one piece. The belt followed.
