Thanks for sharing your story, and I am so glad things worked out for you! Enjoy your new 997, and your wonderful family. My two sons are now 33 and 31, and I still remember them in the back of my early 911's. Glad it worked out for you!

What a heart warming story. You have good karma my friend. Chris seems to be a solid chap and I wish Porsche would cut all this crap and simply stand behind their car and offer all those with the issue the same resolution, its a wonderful machine..enjoy your car. Best wishes.

Congratulations on your result - I've been following your saga and commiserated for your bad luck so I'm happy it's worked out well for you in the end.

I agree. Very happy for the OP. That's how all IMS failures should be handled short of documented abuse cases. Salt in the wound for all those who have been given the finger in the past though.

Congrats. Great ending.

Had somewhat of a similar experience with our audi. Audi of America stepped up with a new tranny 3 years out of warranty. Sometimes things work out.

Enjoy your 997.

Great to hear your car will be fixed, good on PCNA to come to the party!
What great smiles of the kids and your wife with the p-car. Now get some child friendly seats in the back so the kids are always smiling, they will never forget the ride in dad's car!

Muffinman

Glad it worked out for you truly a Merry X Mas story.
Now go enjoy your family and work on a New Years story.
