I just bought my 2011 C4S last Friday. It too has a MT (my preference over the PDK). I paid $76k. It has 4400 miles on it and is similarly equipped to the one you are looking at.

I would go for a 997.1 TT for same and Mezger engine.

I haven't seen any failures with the 9A1 yet.

I agree that the Mezger is a superior engine, but since the 991TTs and GT3s are based on the new engine, it has to be pretty good.

I bought mine through a broker. I've known him for 20 years and have bought several cars from him over that time. He had it listed for $80K and sold it to me for $76.
The attraction was the low miles and that it has a MT.

Right around $80k would be my guess since it's a CPO car. Remember, CPO is like $2400 plus all the work they wind up doing to it. Get a copy of the CPO report and the service details and it will give you an idea of what they found.

I've been shopping for the same car for a month now. 70-75 is private party territory for a 2011 PDK C4S with low miles. I offered 73K for one with 10K miles on it. Lost out to someone who paid 74.5. Plenty of dealers are well into the 80's, even high 80's and won't give up much. As for GTS's, I've seen both 2011 and 2012's priced higher than slightly used 2012 991S's.

I think under 80K is a good price.

Now, quite curious as if 991 CRAZY pricing can actually raise some of the 997 values? The difference now between a fully optioned 991 and a fully optioned 997 is something in the range of ~70-75K! I really think it should be a lot lower than that.. and maybe that raises the 997 prices a bit.

Quote: I agree from a Dealer I think $80K or around that is a Good Deal. It is optioned well and is also a desirable color.

I would not let a few thousand stop you from getting it if it is everything you want.
Agree 100% and I've said as much to other buyers in the past. I was working a deal on another car at the same time which is why I wasn't inclined to get involved in a bidding war which for all I knew was bogus to begin with.

I do but I've had it for almost three years now and I usually trade every two years. Just one of those things that can't be explained....

Not really once you think about it. Sure if you configure a 2014 991 C4S to the hilt and then compare that to a 2007 C4S then its $75K. But one is 7 years older. That's not apples to apples.

Look at this 2011 C4S - it will sell for $75K at a minimum. In 2009 I could have bought a brand new launch C4S for $87K. I ended up buying my brand new C2S for $86K instead (give or take a few dollars). 2013 991's already brand new - you can get 10-15% off sticker. 2012's 991's are under $100K easily. So they are dropping quite a bit. And the 997 is dropping way more slowly. I think I can get around $60K for my car 4 years later. Certainly a dealer could (its CPO 23K miles). So the gap is narrowing fast, unless you have to order a brand new C4S with deviated stitching and carbon bits and the fanciest stereo known to man. None of which will make it a better sports car. A different market and Porsche is catering to THOSE buyers more so than ever.

You're weird

You're trading for in essence the same car. Get a GTS if you're going to do that. At least its a little bit different. Maybe $5K more - no?

Well, the thing is, to build a 2014 C4S with options like that (PSE, Nav, Full leather, heated seats, Chrono, Bose, etc...), it'd be around $140. So, let's say this car (2011, 11K miles) is sold for $75K, and you build a C4S for $140 ... the difference is $65K! That's outragous, and makes 997 a STEAL!

I have the new engine on my 991S and I love my car, but if I were looking at a 997, I would tend to go for the 997.1 turbo for the simple last of an era effect. I feel that car will soon begin to have a following like the 993 and depreciation rates could be much lower because of that. Also performance wise a faster car. But again, that is my simple opinion based on nothing more than feeling.

I'm of the same opinion, part of (small part) the reason I'm now a 997.1T owner
