I totally agree with your statement mj but just thinking aloud with the longer lasting better performing mpss which i think exceeds current performance levels of any previously n rated mps2's for our 997's. If its not the thread then its the compound. Softer for better grip? Harder for better wear? Both of which are already better in the mpss without n rating... What will mich and porsche do to the mpss to get an n rating? Besides just stamp a letter on the sidewall.

The set I ordered on 10/7 from TireRack arrived at my independent on Monday 10/21, so hopefully that means supplies are starting to roll in.

This is huge news for me because I'm taking my car south for a track road trip / winter respite around Thanksgiving, and I was worried that I would have to do it on sub-optimal tires.

Thanks to Damon @ tire-rack for following up on it for me and a quick plug for putting Damon's name in the order box when you order over the internet. I didn't, and I should have.

Mark,....it sounds like you like the PS2s better....is that the case?

I just had to replace tires last week, and couldn't get a set of 4 Pilot SS's, so stayed with the Pirelli P-Zeros.
