There a chap here who races Cup cars, and he organises track days with his previous year's Cup to finance his next season.
I am hooked! The cup isn't really any more powerful but it is set up "track only" and I keep going back for more.
And I can't afford to buy and maintain two Porsches.

I really have a weakness for white turbos!

Thank you, Edgy. So do I... I fell in love with Carrara Weiss as they call it, in 2008 and bought this 2007 car in 2009. I have loved every minute of it.

As I explained here, I was faced with the choice of a used 991S , but the loss of power put me off... the new 991 Turbo S and its stratospheric price tag (out of my league) , and spend good money to update this one. I chose the last option;

I made today the first pics of the finished product... the only things you can't see... 553HP, track clutch, short travel gear stick...

PS I threw this RS stripe on recently.
Hi Bruce,

Love the RS stripe. That came out great.

I'd love to have painted seat backs. I had considered it at one point, just seemed like a lot of time, effort, and money for fairly inconspicuous mod. They do look great though. It would look great on your car!

Happy Holidays to all !

Hey there Mike !

It's been a while since I've been posting also. Long time , no see.

I'm still enjoying the FVD muffs that I bought from you several years ago. They have a much better sound than the original PSE that my car came with. Thanks again for turning me on to those !!!

You still tracking that purty speed yellow Carrera of yours?

But seriously, yes, I have heard some reservations about everyday road use of these seats.

They are really designed for the GT3, a car that few people use on a daily basis. Can you still do 500 Miles in a day and actually get out of the car unassisted
They came stock on the -09 C4S launch car which I have as a DD. I've not done 500 miles in a day but 350 with no issues at all. The seat is very comfortable once you're in it and I think it gets an undeserved bad rap from people who for whatever reason have trouble getting in and out of it but never accumulated any actual road miles. Aside from the comfort factor, they add a level of connectivity with the car that just can't be achieved with any other stock seat.

On the minus side, losing all the back, spine, side adjustable seats, AND the seat memory depepnding on who's driving...
that IS a lot to lose... can't have everything, I suppose.
I'm 6'3" and like to spread out in the car. With the seat all the way back, it's very close to where I would put it if it was adjustable. Perfect for me would be just a bit more tilt to the back which can be done by adjusting the floor mountings.

I bought mine in Cleveland. The drive back to NC was about 500 miles. Absolutely zero comfort issues on the drive back. I agree that you are connected to the car with these seats. A huge difference from my stock seats in my old 2001 996.
