Just picked up my first 997 on Friday. I appreciate all the help I recieved on this forum during the shopping process. I had a 991 C2S before this - I always preferred the 997 look and feel. I'm happy with the switch.
Congratulations and welcome to the 997 fold! Car looks awesome and those OZ wheels look great! Nice color choices in your stable too
Heres a couple more.
This is my favorite 911 yet. Great to get into some open road this morning. These things really handle nice
The yellow stone guards gotta go though

wow! coming from your previous experience and awesome collection of air-cooled cars in the past, that is quite the statement. would enjoy hearing more stories about how an air-cooled die hard finds themselves enjoying the water-cooled cars as well.
Yes. That's a 997.2 GTS. Front bumper, centerlock wheels and the faint script on the lower front part of the door gives it away. You'll get the same wide body with minor differences with the less expensive C4S or the even less expensive C4. You'll also get the same wide body on the Turbos and some other high end low production number models but at a completely different price level.

although one could argue that the GTS models were sold and marketed with discounted bundled options included in the price already... Technically speaking, a C4S with the same X51 engine/ interior options added would actually be more expensive than the GTS
But I know what you meant
...Gotta love Porsche and those option prices
Not too much lower, probably 1-1.5"- Leaning towards Ohlins R&T, decent price, adjustable, never heard a bad thing about em either. Considered bilstein pss, maybe BC coilovers($1200 vs Ohlins $2700) but they're not as solid on the reputation. Then going with OZ leggera HLT wheels in 19".
