09 997.2
Hi folks,
Long time lurker, first time poster; have enjoyed reading the RL 997 forum and have also benefitted from the knowledge and experience here as well (thanks to all of you guys that contribute)!
I have had my 2009 997.2 for a couple years now; never fails to bring a smile to my face everytime I get behind the wheel.
Just a couple pics to share... Still working on my photo skills, but always more than happy to put the practice in
Thanks for looking!

I'm running 19x8.5 (et52) and 19x11 (et67); for me it's a perfect combination. I know many would say to run a 15mm spacer, but I'm okay with how the wheels sit, as there's zero rubbing.

Im running 305/30 20 245/30 20 thats what came with the car. No rub sits like a beast. Rudes a little rough and has wheel noise, that I contribute to the front wheels being worn. I have a set of 18's with good rubber I'm thinking about mounting just to see how the ride is. Do you like the ride if your 20's?

I have OEM 18" wheels that originally came with the car that have old, worn MPSS on them; my 19's don't feel much different in comparison, but I attribute that to the state of the worn, tired tires on the 18's. Fresh rubber would probably make the 18's ride better.
If I ran my car at the track, I think there would be no doubt; a light 18" wheel would be my preference for my car, simply to reduce unsprung rotational mass and weight, which would be better for all around performance. But since I just enjoy my car as a street car, 19" is a good fit for me. Aesthetically, I think 19" is a good match for the 997 whereas 20" is a better match for the 991 (IMHO).

Thanks I'm leaning more towards mounting the 18s because 1. Front tires are worn due to neg cambor. 2. Dodging pot holes is getting old ( not that I would stop) but worry less with 18s. Just concerned with the selection of tires for 19s. I dont commute not a daily driver, but will love to feel the power and prowness. Thanks for your help.

I could buy new 20s absorb that cost, I could mount the 18's see what that look like and feels like. And then make a decision be it moving to 19's. Choices. I think the 18's is the most logical chice at the moment. Ride them for a number of months then decide. I'll let you know.

I'm back in a 997 after a detour through a 2011 Boxster Spyder and a Cayman GT4. I've spent the past couple months building my ideal track car.
Phase1 completed:
JRZ RS 1 dampers
GT3 lower control arms
Tarett Sway bars and drop links
Fabspeed competition headers, x-pipe, and side muffler bypasses. Its a legit straight piped car
Car chemistry exhaust baffle inserts - makes normal street driving possible, 4,5,6,7 gears sound is healthy but not crazy
KMP PDK wheel - best money spent, its soo cool, proper Motorsport paddle shifting clicks
Semi solid motor mounts
Hawk DC70 brake pads
Odyssey 680 battery
Tillett Race seats - very comfortable - 9lbs or so
Maxton front lip
Porsche motorsport GT3 Cup flares
OZ Leggra wheels - 8.5x19 fronts, 11x19 rear. Soon going to a 10inch front wheel
Set of CCW C14 wheels will go on as well 10x18, 12x18
Hoosier R7 currently 235/35/19 and 295/30/19 rear
Getty Design headlight covers
Brey Kruase harness bar

those seats are wild. great setup... I considered a KMP wheel but they only have PSM and TC controls on the wheel for the 991/81 gen.. much easier with those cars. but they make some great DIY install wheels for 997 PDKs.. nice choice!

Thanks. Saw your IG. Your wheel setup is something to behold.

Found a cool road above Ojai, Cali while browsing google maps over breakfast in Santa Barbara.
While Highway 33 is a great road itself, there's a 10 mile long single lane road out to a campground with awesome views at the summit.
