It's happened to me a number of times, the biggest problem is opening the P-car door to get inside.you know our cars needing the door to open full opened! Pisses me off all the time, they are probably watching from a safe distance to see our reactions

Happens all the time.
I can't say for sure, but sometimes I think it might be innocent, e.g. the other driver parks next to us because we surely won't give them a door ding, so they know it's safe. But usually this happens with other nicer cars, not big nasty SUVs.

Happens to me all of the time regardless of which vehicle I drive. I always park a mile away from the entrance parked where there is no car in site, you come back and there will always be 6 cars parked right next to you. My theory is that most people are just like "sheep" and they just follow the herd.

My wife complains about the distance away I park to avoid dings...then someone parks right next to me and defeats the purpose.

I have the opposite approach usually - I park with the group of cars and hope for the best - worst case scenario - call the PDR guy after a few dings accumulate.

It never fails...until you repay their favor. As a hypothetical, I may also have been at a large chain store and may have been driving my company car... After I parked and finished my shopping, I returned to my car to find it practically parked in by an a$$hole in a large diesel truck parked clear across the parking space lines. Even though I'm a slender guy, I needed to slink in SIDEWAYS to get into my car. Given that there was less than a foot between my drivers side and his passenger side, my car door **may** have forcefully and repeatedly come into contact with his. You're welcome.

I read somewhere that one guy had such a difficult time squeezing into his car after one of those asshat parking maneuvers that it caused him to have a seizure in the hand that was holding his key all over the side of the offending car

and valet parkers could give a $hit too...
I had words with the hotel manager and he was not pleased either. I learned that most hotels contract out their valet parking.
The manager did comp my valet parking for the duration of the stay and there was no harm to the car.
