Default Congrats!

The Targas are great Porsches. I'm in the market for one myself. Congrats and enjoy it!

Atlas Grey Metallic over black full-leather, with a shocking (to me) array of gizmos and carbon bits. And a Recaro kiddie seat shoehorned in back, to prove how practical a family car it is.

Pics to follow.

For now, first question, to tint, or not to tint? I lean toward yes (everything but the roof, naturally), but how dark, how reflective, etc. are the big questions. If anyone has pics and specs to share, I'd appreciate it.
Depending on where you live it may be a matter of what kind of tint to get rather than yes or no. Atlas looks almost black so not too dark or it all blends together. I had fairly light tint on my black -06 and it looked balanced. Went a little darker on the grey car.

Congrats. Targa's are pretty rare, and it sounds like you got a well appointed car.

Fairly new setup so I don't have much. This is a good tint shade compromise imo. Blocks the sun and offers privacy without turning the windows completely black.

Not sure where you live.. I have an '07 Targa and I tinted the rear hatch window 20%. I'm thinking about doing the roof about 40%. In the summer, the interior gets very hot.. I never did any of the side windows.. Good luck and enjoy the car, I get stopped all the time from people who had never seen a Targa model..

1. Please don't tint
2. Please post pics pre-tinting (ie post pics of your newly acquired ride, some folks here get irritable if you say you just got a car and don't show us )

Easy for you to say in Edmonton, Alberta. Try no tint in south Florida April through October and then report back.

ha ha!
does the tinting really make that much of a difference though? I would think if it's that hot out the inside of the car's gonna turn into an oven over a couple hours regardless...
