I figured using lowered springs would be a matter of time before the dampers were ruined which is why I went with coil overs.

I did Bilstein coilovers on the 993 a few months back and still licking my wounds from that drop which included fatter sways. If in a few years if I blow out the struts on the 997 I will go to coilovers on it also.

Nice job, Mark. Too bad you didn't write up a DIY for the rest of us.

Not mine but go here:

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BzYl...lIV1pGRUk/edit

This doc is for Techart coilovers but it is exactly what we did. Albeit at the speed of sound.

FWIW....I put almost 50K miles on my -06 C4S on H&R springs with no problems. No complaints from the dealer either when I traded it.

The finished photo of your car doesn't look like the wheel spacers are installed. 15mm rear and 7mm front? Do you have any photo's of the car rear or closer to the wheel? 15mm or over 1/2" seems too much based on the tape I put on my tire. Seems like the tire would push out past the wheel well. Just say'n.

You are jokin' right. I put H&R lowering springs on as a DIY but wouldn't know if I have spacers or if I do what sizes they are? Just say'n.
