Dropped the 997 in 2.5 hours
Had a great group of experienced wrenchers help me on Sat. Great mod and cheap. H&R springs were $330. We started at 10 a.m. and were done by 12:30 p.m. $70 in lunch for the gang. $150 for an alignment Monday at the dealership has me all in at $550 for the drop.
Here are some pics. FWIW I also have 7mm & 15mm spacers.

Nice, Mark. I'd love to see a photo from the side showing how the rims are sitting in the wheel wells.
I just put a set of Turbo 1 rims on my black 06 cab, the offset is like a 16mm spacer on the rear rim but the front is still factory, so I'd like to push that out a little to match the rears better. Mine also needs to be lowered but I'm not sure if I can do that with a widebody rim on the rear.

I don't see how lowering springs would interfer with PASM. Oddly enough the H&R springs I purchased are not compatabile with PASM but the Eibrach are so who knows?
I haven't noted any real change in the ride. IMHO the mod is 90% cosmetic.
A search will indicate that some feel that H&R sag over time. Maybe they do maybe they don't...again who knows. A respected Indy shop owner feels it's the strut sagging over time not the springs.

Nice looking drop. I did a set of Eibachs by myself with my 09 with the car on jack stands. I wouldn't want to do that again. Help is good.

Of course it looks nice sitting lower but what does this do to the suspension geometry and handling like Porsche intended it to be?
If you could tell us the changes you have noticed, if any to how the car handles after your modification. Thanks.

Damn nice friends.
And I've got your clears when you're ready.

Your strut travel rebound will most likely suffer and perhaps damage the struts (blow-out struts). Also, difficulty not scraping chin spoiler.
The 997 looks awesome lowered!
Best of luck!
