might be a dumb question....but any issues/concerns with driving my c2 with the rear spoiler up most the time. I rarely exceed 45 mi/h on my daily commute, but I like the way it looks.

Clearly people here have their opinion on what to do with your car. At the end of the day it will not hurt the car to drive with it up if that is what you like. I have always wanted a 911 with a spoiler on it so I will order one and put it on there with a corresponding front lip spoiler. Just know that people you will never meet nor that you care about will think you look silly riding around with it up. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but it's your car, enjoy how you see fit.
thanks for input. I'll be the guy with my vintage racing goggles on with the spoiler up.
Of course keeping it up can't do any harm, but keeping it up or not is another topic. This has been debated here before. I've had mine up before and then decided against it. It's really a "no-no" in the P-Car world to "deploy" the rear spoiler manually. The reason why there is a button to do so on the console, is actually to raise it manually only for cleaning. When I and a lot of people see them up at low speeds or when car is parked, we actually think they are possibly damaged and can't retract! Also, you lose one of the cool features of the car. It looks real sweet on the road when it deploys automatically at speed.

I've not heard that the manual switch was there to raise the spoiler for cleaning. I thought the switch was to enable raising the spoiler if the automatic feature didn't work.
Why is it a "no-no", cause some internet forum guys made it so?
They also said the 993 was the last of the real 911s yet here we all are driving with water cooled engines
The whole concept is silly. The man wants to know if it will hurt his car. Simple answer is no. Wether anyone here agrees with his decision to ride with it up is absolutely irrelevant. It's the same argument about MT and Autos. There is a saying in the motorcycle world. "Ride your own bike". Don't worry about me or mine, worry about you and yours.

Well said. We are all individuals... I just wanted to make sure that i wasn't hurting my new toy in any way. I have no problem looking a little silly.
@ Little Green: which spoiler are you ordering... any pics?
