09 C4S PDK Price Check

These price check threads are the best. With the endless variables involved in pricing these cars I can't believe the amount of people who still try to turn it into an exact science down to the last dollar. If I had paid any amount of attention to most of the price threads here I'd still be driving my -04 E46 M3 that I sold 5 years ago in favor of a 997 that I'm pretty sure I paid at least $25 too much for.

No still really love my car. Danny @Exotic keeps in touch with nice cars inbound. The 09 peeked my intrest a bit. I'm going in to see it Tuesday, but I still want and lust for a 07-08 GT3, which he doesn't get to often. He's a Turbo guy and thinks I would be much happier in a Turbo than a GT3..
The 06 S I have really couldn't be replaced by a car in its condition for its price point. It has all the looks and very close performance to later years and no stress with driving and parking anywhere. Knock on wood...I haven't been dinged yet !

Our 997.1's are really excellent cars that have things the 997.2’s don't have. Namely, the awesome sound of the .1 non-DFI engines. I am sure the GT3 Metzgers sound good too but for the price, the .1's are the best. The front ends of the .1’s look better too. You have to get into the .2 aero kits to have a decent looking front end.

Speaking of $25k, that's the potential swing in option pricing on any particular car, so you can go from a car that had a $95k sticker to one that optioned out at roughly $120k, fully loaded.
Hell, the condition of the tires makes a $1500 difference.
That said, all the shopping certainly puts you in the position of making an educated judgement as to how much to pay, but I wouldn't not buy the car of my dreams based on a grand or 2, or general value statements. Each car has an independent value exclusive of all other cars, since it's option configuration can swing wildly.

I know someone who's been looking for at least a year now who's passed up 997's he loved over as little as $500. But I think it's a game for him more than a real desire to own a 911. He has the money but if he doesn't get his price from the dealer or the private seller, he "loses" and that's where it ends. "Winning" the negotiation part is more important to him - even over $500 on a $100K car - than getting the enjoyment of driving the car he says he lusts for.

I didn't go to STL today to see the car. I'm sure its a decent car and a decent deal for someone.
The original question was just what people have been seeing for an 09 in a range of miles and options. I haven't kept a eye on the pricing for those cars for awhile. I originally thought the price seemed pretty good, now it seems about average.
