I was hoping to avoid flying down as a fellow Renlister has checked out the car and I was going to get a PPI. Adding in the cost to transport the car and flying down there is adding quite a bit to the cost of the car.
What nonsense. You can buy million $ houses without signing on location but Porsche financing insist you show up in person to sell you a car? Sounds like other stories I've heard about Porsche financing. Arrogant and difficult to deal with. If you have options I'd pursue that route.

I'd look elsewhere. Sounds crazy. Just bought a CPO Panamera in Apr for the wife and although I didn't use PFS I could have signed via FedEx if needed. None of this in person crap unless your dealership has some other requirements...but sounds fishy to me. I'd go direct to PFS and ask them what the deal is. You may get a new story all together! LOL

Good idea. I will try to call PFS. I've worked on billion dollar financings where you close with electronic signatures. There is no reason to close a car loan in person.

Aren't you a Nigerian prince living in exile here in the US?

Seriously, just call PFS on Tuesday (after the holiday) and get the facts. All you can get here are opinions, and we know everyone has one of those too.

Also, if PFS doesn't play ball, take a look at Penfed.org. I just used them for another loan, got 1.99% on my wife's GLK.

They are really easy to work with.

The most they should need is your signature notarized, a signature to allow them to run a credit check, and a copy of your driver's license and possibly your insurance card.

FYI Pen Fed is currently financing at 1.99% up to 70K / 60 months. Easy to join (even for non-military) and wonderful customer service.

This is the best finance out there, hands down.
