World Roadshow - worth it?
I just signed up for the Porsche World Roadshow at Monticello the weekend of June 8-9-10. You choose a 3-hour time slot and just show up, it seems.
Is it fun? Does it give an actual taste of track driving? Is it comparable to a DE, but shorter? I haven't been to a DE yet but want to, eventually. Will this give me a kick in the butt to do it?
I know the Roadshow's free, but is it worth the time?

I did one last year. Ours was very fun. Very small taste of a DE. We only got to do 2 laps then is was in for a different car for 2 laps. We got to drive a 911s, caymen rs, boxter, cayenne hybrid, and a panamera. Then they took us on a Hot lap.

I did it last year and had fun. It's nice to be able to compare each model on the same course back to back. My wife also came, and really enjoyed it.

My event is at the Jersey Speed Park in NJ during the 19th - 21st and I am traveling on business!
Did anyone get a registration for Monticello and can not attend? Maybe I could borrow their registration number? Please!

I sat at my desk and noticed an email coming in. I didn't sign up for anything beforehand. My car is new-to-me though. I got it about 6 weeks ago. That might have something to do with me being on some updated lists at Porsche USA.

Do it, it was loads of fun. There is nothing better than putting the hammer down on a car you don't own. Their car, gas and tires how can you go wrong... I was was smiling for a week afterwards...
