Just filled up this morning with Shell Premium V Power. Full service cash price was $4.159. Was $3.999 10 days ago.

Thanks for the tip on gas in New Jersey.
One less state I'll run low in.
Someone ELSE putting gas in my car is simply not gonna happen.

Someone should call Romney and Obama about this. Imagine the headlines 'Thousands of New Jobs Created Across the Country!'

I filled my own car up in Oregon! Didn't know about this ridiculous law so pulled up jumped out and I was already filling the car before the attendant came over. He said I might as well finish!

It would be nice to have a choice. Use a full service pump if you don't want to fill your own car up and pay a premium at the pump or go self service.

Is this serious?

who the f&&k cares who puts gas in the car?

Its not like this is the sealing of the bloody engine case.

I've been driving in the state of NJ for over 10 years, with about 6 different vehicles, and only one of them had a small nick on the edge of the gas lid, and hell I might have done that myself.

What is the big deal?

I just don't understand you guys sometimes.

Totally serious. I never knew this about New Jersey.
While I don't go there very often, I'll make sure to fill up at any of the adjoining states before entering.

Out of curiosity, if one of your state mandated attendants were to miss the door and chip the paint on your car.. would you simply say "Oh well" and drive off?

If it wasn't intentional...absolutely. its a piece of metal...why am I gonna stress about meaningless crap like that. Id go home...touch it up...and add it to the other chips and blemishes on my car.

Life is too short to make a fuss about a little chip resulting from an accident

I should probably use this as a learning opportunity....however I don't see that happening.
You are probably one of "those" that drive in the rain too.

Each to his own.
I'm sure we both fully enjoy the car for what we want.

I usually always fill-up in New Jersey when I get the chance. I always top off the tank myself. I've never had a problem. I always tell them the tank never fills up so I can usually get another 1/2-1 gallon in. It's about 65 cents cheaper when I fill up with Sunoco 93 in New Jersay.

Do they try to clean your windshield, too? Because that would put me over the edge.

When I need to either go to NJ or pass through on my way to Florida, I go out of my way to be sure that I will not need to stop for gas until I can actually pump it myself. This is from watching a guy open the fuel door on my 300 mile old 997.2 and just drop the filler cap against the side of the car.

^ unfortunately most of the attendants don't know what to do with it.
I usually get out and hang it myself. That doesn't happen at my regular station 'cause they seen me do it so now they get it.

There are those that settle for "corrected" paint as you call it, and those that appreciate a nice pristine finish.
Just accept it and move on.
