Default PDK Gateway Control Module

Anyone know what a gatway control module is? In order to get my PDK trans to communicate with the computer to do the upgrade the dealer says they had to replace this!

According to the dealer I can pick up the P tomorrow. They want to drive more in the morning just to confirm PDK is ok. The PDK is different on the Panamera I am driving. I noticed when in reverse on mine it sort of slipped and then engaged but on the Panamera as smooth as can be. I can't wait to see the change after the upgrade.

What year is your car? I've heard about this upgrade but my SM says there's no such thing. Same guy who said there was no fuel pump campaign.

Default Location transmission control unit

In the 997.2, isn't the transmission control unit under the passenger seat, next to the audio amplifier, or am I mistaken?

I may be mistaken. Should've looked under the seat before posting.

For anyone interested I have two of these Transmission Control Modules. One new in it's box and one used but operational. They'll fit 997.2 PDK 2009+

These will need to be code to the car, won't they? PIWIS required?

Yes, they will need to be coded to the car by either a dealer PIWIS or by PIWIS clones that I've read about in this forum.
