Default Garage Floor Installed

I installed my Modutile in my garage last weekend. The cost was $1.98 per square foot with free shipping and no tax since it came from out of state (Texas). Simple to lay down and install. I plotted my design on the web and downloaded that to my PC so I could print it out.

I went with red, black and gray tiles. I was going to do the stock checkered flag look with white and black tiles, but thought the white would show the dirt too much, so I went with the gray and black.

Here are a few pics.

Nice job Tim. I installed mine about a month ago. I went with just black and grey . Not that a 911 doesn't dress up the garage enough!

Yes, it does snap together. I had to cut the red tiles on both sides of the garage and in the area my the door leading into the house. I snapped 5 tiles together and cut the tile with a power saw, which mage the trim job much quicker.

Thanks! Your garage didn't need the red because of the Ruby Red car, which looks sweet. I needed a splash of red to set off the car a little.

BTW, I was looking and looking for a Ruby Red C2S, but couldn't find one after months of searching, so I got Meteor Gray.

Love it! This is definitely on my list as well and I too was contemplating the same color scheme. I agree the grey is a better choice than white. My buddy did black/white VCT and it looked pretty beat up after a year.

Looks nice. What's that black strip at the edge? Was it a filler for the gap?

Also, wondering why did u pick these Modulite over Racedeck? or Swisstrax?

Alex,

Are you talking about the black strip next to the red tile in pic #3? That is the beveled transition strip.

I picked Modutile mostly because of price. I didn't want to spend $2.75 to $3.50 per tile for something I am going to drive my car on.

How does it (or does it at all) attach to the floor? Further, can fluids leak through the connections onto the concrete?

thanks.
