the DBS is a fantastic car. But when you mentioned a 430 as an option i will say that its a different drive. Furthermore is history is any guide, the DBS will not hold its value.

Ford GT hands down.
It will beat the Ferraris, the price will remain stable if not appreciate and it looks, sounds, drives incredible. Also if you want to have a "hyper-exotic" experience you can easily tweak the power to 650hp+ with a pulley swap, tune, exhaust.

After much thought, I decided to go for the Aston Martin DBS 2010. Car was2010, 1200 miles. I think this will keep me happy for a few years

The OP wanted a classic that would keep its value... the current DBS is neither !?! Not a great performing sports car either. It's really a boulevard cruiser that will plummet in value.
