I always wave, usually just open my hand while on the steering wheel, and most of the times get a response.
Now, the way some are treating the 991 and its new owners, I wonder if my wave will be welcomed.
Will the 997 and older model guys wave to the 991?
You should save this question and start a whole new thread with it! It's will generate a million responses! lol
I have no problems w/ a 991 and actually on the list for the TT.

This thread proves that some of you guys need to get off the computer and go put your cars thru their paces! I'd do same right at the moment but I'm in a tin can at 37,000ft.
I've found non-Porsche drivers are more likely to wave than Porsche drivers...for what its worth.
I never even consider waving to a Cayenne and I've owned one w/ great pleasure. Just feel it is "different" and not something many embrace. Most of the time a soccer mom is in one around here anyway and she is oblivious to the world! lol
Without thought in my 2 months ownership I've only waived at 911's. Get waves back most of the time, sometimes they initiate. I suspect the one's that don't wave aren't in it for the love of the car 100%.
I can go for weeks without seeing another Porsche in my area.... I just arrived at my daughters in Old Greenwich and saw five in the first five minutes... one was a blk Boxster Spyder,, the rest were just run of the mill 911's...
