Today:

Drove 35 miles on the backroads to the golf course.
Played golf, shot 78.
Returned home via the same back roads.

Best part of the golf this morning: The drive to and from the golf course.

A few close-up pics.

Drove the cobwebs off the car for about 60 miles to the Princeton NJ Cars and Coffee event. No one showed!! But I had a great drive. And spent some time walking Main Street Princeton on a Sunday mid morning. Very nice.

I've had my DD 09 C4S for 3 months now - she takes my breath away every time I see her. Yesterday I washed, clayed, polished, sealed, and top-waxed with souveran carnauba - can't get enough of the wet look. Today I drove to church, picked up groceries, bought 3 willow trees, loaded it with boots & roller skis (frunk) and poles (inside - don't puncture the leather - fit handles between passenger seat & console - always lower the rear seats so their leather is not in danger from the sharpened tips). Then I recycled 8 liters Mobile 1 to the local service center - where they store it and burn it for winter heat (Minn).

Installed the smarttop. A cab should come from the factory with this.

1,200 miles in 'S' in the last 3 days, including a blizzard on I-25 N of Cheyenne, WY. I left Bigfork MT Friday and took the long way (via Marias Pass and down the east front of the Rockies) to Livingston, MT.

Overnight at the Murray Hotel, then south to Castle, Rock, CO, I thought. I took a little detour to the Custer Battlefield and over to Busby, MT then US 314 cutting back to Sheridan, WY. Plenty of time to play on a deserted back road, I still thought.

It started raining hard in Casper, WY and was a whiteout by the time I made it to Chugwater. Limped into Cheyenne at 15-20 mph in a caravan of fellow blizzard victims. My wife called and found me a room at Litttle America. A hotel room has never looked better.

2 hours home this morning after the storm had past. The car got unpacked and left in the driveway to dry out. I recovered with a day in the theatre watching the GP, a Catena Cab. and a warm fire.

Drove on some twisties from Cannon Beach, OR to Tillamook with the PNWR tour group for breakfast at the cheese factory and then air museum afterwards. Had a nice group dinner with fellow PCA members. Driving back to Seattle tomorrow. Planning a twisty route.

Yesterday I washed it, waxed it, vacuumed it, and took it for short drive. Parked it in a safe place. Got back and found a guy with a weed wacker in hand admiring my C4S. As I approached, I found the whole side of the car splattered with grass and mud, including windshield. I simply smiled. I didn’t get angry. After all, I own a Porsche. And life simply doesn’t get any better than that.
