Tom: It was already done once. Back in the 1980's, the original owner of this 'Crystal Blue' car (having already sold it to owner #2 in 1980, the guy whom I bought it from in 2008) worked at Stoddard Imported Cars in Ohio. On a whim, he decided to order a 911 SC with this color (PTS) for dealer stock. It was approved and he sold it in no time. it's still running around somewhere here in the US.

I am still in touch with this first owner. He is now retired and lives in Florida. He used to be the PCA Zone 1 Rep back in the '70's/'80's, lived in New Jersey and was a member of NNJ region. His name is Doug Troyer. Saludos, z356

Love it.........actually I like all the three, the green, blue, and yellow. I figure I drive a black RR every day so I like a little color on my toys as evidenced by my not so subtle wrap on my track car. Thanks for sharing.

I want my next car this color but I dunno if it will be worth it if I want to go ahead with the 991S and trade up to the Turbo a year or so later?

I know for good reasons why the Gulf colors are on the no paint list. But Fiyance, spell check on that one please, Yellow? Really!? Is that because it was more or less a Carrera GT exclusive? Also love the Grey on the Sport Classic, that is out too? I was thinking of getting the better half's Pepper-Hybrid in that color too.

Speaking of better half, I'm trying to get her to go to a driving event. I know how she is and sooner or later she will want her's & his GT3s. I would get her a .2 RS and I will get a 996 GT3 and stroke it to 3.9 on the cheap.

And yes many people are bummed out when I say that the Orange GT3 in my avatar is not mine. Just that it caught my eye so I put it there.

I've only seen two cars in Nordic Metallic, one is a GT2 and the other was a Targa at the 2009 LA Autoshow.

I missed last years show, was at the ****ty San Francisco show instead, biggest let down if my life. Won't miss 2011 even if I have to take four days off of work and fly 10000 miles around the globe.

I hope Sascha and the boys have the 991 programmed into their Configurator so I can get my order out the door. Just don't know who I'm going to buy the car through just yet, especially after getting skrewed out of my turbo.

I just saw a photo of the 'Racing Yellow' on a new 991. I don't think that is going to be close to 'Signal Yellow' as I hoped for. This was the color I mentioned in my post. They (PAG) allowed one gt3 RS in this color for the UK but then turned down any other request for that color from PTS customers in the US. They must have found out something regarding that paint on the car and now it's not allowed to be ordered.

Does anyone know what the old 'Speed Yellow' was called in German by Porsche? z356

After seeing all of these wonderful colors I could never go back and can't believe I actually ordered Arctic Silver at one point in my life albeit with Lipstick Red inside.

Would be curious to find out the answer. Have you contacted Porsche Exclusive with this subject already? Apart from legal or marketing reasons for Gulf Blue or Sport Classic Grey, there could only be a reason due to changes in the paint process.

Which Speed Yellow are you referring to? The current one is also called Speedgelb, for previous versions, if you do know the code, please take a look here or there.

Gorgeous 911s that you have there, could imagine that the yellow example looks even better with Fuchs wheels.

Tacet, I have a brilliant idea. You buy the PTS Arena red car and then my wife will buy the car from you when you are ready to trade for a turbo. Wait.....are you doing PDk or 3 pedals?
