Default Yes to GTS no to Cayman R

After trading in my 10 GT3 I was all set to purchase a new Cayman R. It's on vessel and due in next week. The Cayman R was to be an interim car till the next 991 GT3 arrives. My dealer got in a green R on Friday so I went in for a look. Took the wife on Saturday and she fell in love with a 2012 GTS that was there. Said she prefferred it to the Cayman because of it's classic shape. Well I love the 911 too and the GTS was loaded with sport suspension , Bose, Nav, and much more. I made what I thought was a ridiculous offer and after some minor negotiations I ended up driving it home. Made the wife happy too.

The car is awesome, very smooth and fluid as compared to the GT3's heavier clutch and rifle bolt shifter. I forgot what it was like to listen to a CD or talk on the phone. Still breaking the car in but the handling is awesome and the torque is impressive. Though only 7/10-8/10th a GT3I think I'll be happy for a while.

Offerred 13% off, got 10%, paid cash. Worked for me. End of the month probably helped.

Couple of more pics. I wouldn't have ordered some of the options, like nav or the red gauges or sport chrono, but they are starting to grow on me. I do love the sport suspension and the nav is nice. Lots of content and at my level they sure won't slow me down. I do like the standard wheels after having had and been through the recent drama of the C/L wheels.
