Saw this yesterday and was trying to figure out which Porsche it was. I couldn't see anything large enough to ID. Apparently, he and his copilot were equally hard to ID without dental xrays...

Whatever he did obviously taking a driving school and using common sense wasn't part of it! But then again he did star in "Jack Azz" which was not known for the reasonableness or technical acumen of the stunts performed. Maybe he believed his own hype. Poor soul(s).

What I read was that Ryan Dunn was driving his 2007 Porsche GT3. There was a 100ft-long tire skid marked where the car left the roadway. It also stated that a few hours before the 3am crash Dunn tweeted a picture of himself drinking with two friends. The photo has been since removed.

Roger Ebert posted on twitter "friends should not let jackasses drive drunk" and is drawing flack for his "lack of sensitivity". Whatever, it does seem that a good car can only do so much to save an out of control driver. There is also a dead passenger. Not so funny this time.

Very Sad ...
In 2005, Dunn was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and entered a first offender's program that allowed him to clear his record after a certain period of good behavior, said Patrick Carmody, Assistant District Attorney in Chester County.

fast driving is all about discipline and control and none about jackassing. i can only hope countless teenagers will read those news and correct their behavior. every spring we hear about post-prom incidents with nice new shiny cars wrapped around trees and dead kids - and i am positive most of this stuff is due to programs like that 'jackass' so he got what he deserved. they cater for kids and promote this reckless behavior, so i have no regrets for him. too bad he killed a passenger, but that is how jackassing drunk on a public road ends up usually. at least thanks god he did not end up into a minivan full of kids driving to/off vacation.
