After looking at the photos of JCBH's white car, I ordered the Speedster black stone guards from Suncoast. Pretty inexpensive for Porsche parts. The guards that are OEM on the GT3 are pretty annoying because they have yellowed.

On a white car they should look nice, with the darker wheels.

Yes, there was a painted black option in late '05 or in '06, IIRC.

It should hold up OK because after they are painted they should be clear coated. Same process as the basic silver wheels, they are painted and then clear coated.

Not digging the black guards on a white car. Kind of reminds me of Uncle Fred who wears high black socks and sandals with his snow white legs. However, I hate the clear guards on my GTS because the front/leading edge collects dirt and is black all the time. Must be the new adhesive or something because it never happened before on any of my cars with clear guards (997 t, etc.).

Maybe you could personalize your car in a different way.

I installed on a white car and it looks great.
And I really don't miss the yellowed original with black dirt edges ...

The black stone guards look really nice with the black wheels. I have the Carrera Classic wheels with the Artic silver and they look great and are easy to clean. I wasn't initially thrilled with them, but they have grown on me. If you want to change the look of your car, what about adding one of the Porsche or Carrera side decals, this is something I've been contemplating.

not a fan of the script decals, unless it's on a GT3/2/RS.

thought for a minute about something like the Carrera GTS script, but what would it say? I thought it might be trying too hard. Kinda like guys who put Cobra badges on Mustang GTs.

I agree the decals are not for everyone and I wouldn't go with a GTS on a non-GTS car. That's like putting 20 inch wheels on a Civic. Not a big fan of all show and no go. However, the low key Porsche or Carrera decals IMO look good, but are not over the top. For instance, the side decals on the Spyder look decent and add a bit of a retro look.
