I'm thinking of having the RL360 w/ the laser defuser installed on my Targa. However I've only have seen them installed with the Radar receivers installed on the front and rear license plate brackets. Is this the best place to have them? First i dont like they way they look and Second i dont have a Front plate. My installer say this is the most accurate but, he can find a place in the front grill and "somewhere" in the rear bumper. Any thoughts and or pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Yes it's the best place for them. Mine is below the license plate (external) and is invisible from ground level. The radar detector is hidden behind the bumper convers (front and rear) and is also invisible.
Yeah I think your a little mixed up the Radar receivers are mounted inside the front and rear bumpers, the laser defusers are mounted are on the outside of the vehicle on or around the license plate.
I dont know how to upload my pics but check out there installation gallery it helped me.
Gellie, here's a pic I took (in low light) of the K40 front diffuser. It's the timy rectangular thingy just below the license plate frame. You can barely see it. If you need a more detailed view I can take another pic but this should give you an idea of how small it is:
Yes saw that thread. Seems like from all the info I've read its splt pretty evenly between the Escort and the K40. I like the cleaner, less intrusive install of the K40 Better.
