Cancel my previous post...it just took some time for the pcm to recognize the gadget. It now works without a problem. Hahahah this is one good gadget bros. we can now even improve the sound of this bose system we have by manipulating the output of the iphone using the eq function of the phone. We now have so much more flexibility with the sound! Yahoo!

Hey Rick, did you notice the "hiccups" that we have discussed in this thread?
There seems to be no rhyme or reason to them. Sometimes mine will go for maybe an hour without one and at other times (in other areas) I seem to get a "hiccup" about every 10 minutes. It is almost as though there is a slight loss of signal as some other message comes in, but it is not message related.
I travel in poor cell phone coverage areas and have always thought that this may play a part, but I am not sure why.

Hi yet. I will report on this as soon as i use the unit more. I was just excited avout it getting connected to the pcm unit. And doing what its supppose to do. I did get a hiccup in the music but that was because of me playing with the eq settings.

Hi all,
I've had the Tune2Air for a couple of months and I have definitely experienced the hiccups - I find them mildly annoying, but I mostly listen to podcasts so it doesn't bother me all that much. The crappy satellite radio reception and quality bugs me more.
I also notice that sometimes when getting back in the car, I will resume playback on the iPhone but then as I'm pulling away it will pause and I have to manually resume it. Not sure why this is but it's probably an issue with the iPhone and not the device.
Finally, the device appears to turn itself off after about 5 minutes.

I have installed the firmware with no improvement.
However I found out the following trick which seems to improve things
When you start your car, don't listen to iPhone immediately but select a different audio-source (example FM) for a minute and then switch over to iPhone. It seems to me that this way you have way less hiccups.
Maybe this gives the iPhone and the PCM time to establish the BT connection first before it has to stream audio?

What iv read is upgrading the firmware is not a simple thing. Windows 7 and we need a special code which takes days to get not to mention we need to register and be a memeber. Was hoping someone could share a simpler way to upgrade.. There are i think 4 links to upgrade, which comes first? Win7 only? No go with xp or win8?

I think the instructions in the upgrade indicate that it will work with Win XP, but having recently switched everything at my home to Apple, I will have to dig out an old laptop to see if I can accomplish this. It is intresting that I could not find anywhere what the upgrade is supposed to upgrade or what improvements I should expect (if any).
I may try the upgrade route this weekend if I have some time to see what the results would be. I am generally still satisfied with the Tune2Air, but I would really like to understand the "hiccups" or figure out what might be going on.

Hey yet, i did experience hiccups but are very minimal and not regular. I am actually more concerned that the pcm sometimes does not show the exact playing song or there are some delays in the pcm screen in showing exact song playing. Sometimes it feels the screen is stuck but system continues to play a song. Firmware is 3.2.1

I'd expect the issues with the PCM not updating to be related to the Tune2Air and not the PCM, as the PCM seems to update just fine when my iPod Nano is plugged in... so if the Tune2Air acted exactly like an iPod when seen from the PCM's viewpoint, things would be fine. It certainly seems like there are some issues with the timing and the various internal states the Tune2Air goes into that may be a bit sloppy programming on its end.
