Get the Targa 4s - it screams, all year car, snow tires.
If you get this car, you're done....for life...just maintain it.
Today it DC it was in the 40's, targa top open...

This example shows how Targas depreciate, which is a good reason to buy a used one if you can find what you want. I searched nation wide for mine, and was lucky to find it only 400 miles away. But it took a long time to find one with the right options and pricing. Good luck, and be patient. It will pay off.

gellie - no need to wait for snow to melt! If you haven't already picked a set of winter tires/wheels, now is the time. The rubber compound in the stock tires (pirelli's) are simply not made to run under 40 degrees. Tirerack.com (I have no financial ties) has a great set; I got Michelin Alpinas on twist wheels, and did a minus size, 18". Lot of fun and more confidence in cold weather.

Anyway, for you targa guys, does anyone take it through a conventional car wash, or most of you handwashing?

Bullit here is CPO search of the Porsche national database for Targa 4s; you can obviously use this to search for your specified car (Targa, Targa 4, Targa 4s etc).
