My bud just bought a Maserati Granturismo
My 997 was parked next to his when I went to check out the car. 997 was so tiny next to the Maserati. He was debating between a Turbo, C4S, and the Maserati. He just liked the exclusivity and the non-stiff ride plus the roominess of the Maserati. He doesn't like driving that much.
Anyone considered this Maser GT before your 997 purchase? I will probably get one in my later years when I can no longer handle the stiff Porsche ride

Not having driven the Maserati, I wonder how soft is its suspension since I don't consider a 997 in non-sport PASM mode to be stiff at all. I leave mine in normal mode most of the time unless the pavement is smooth, and it's quite comfortable to me. I'm not sure I'd want a sports car to be any softer, but I guess I'll have to drive one to see for myself.
To answer your question, no, I never considered the Gran Turismo, as I didn't want a temperamental, high-maintenance car.

Completely agree with this post which echoes my thoughts.

Right its only avail w/ a auto. Its a beautiful looking and sounding car. The ride is marginally better than our 911, but by no means is it like a Benz. Those 20's are rough. Anyway the car was too big for my taste.

Apparently, the Maser GT is polular among female execs and CEO's. At a certain angle, it does have feminine curves.
These Maser does come in Manuals in the later versions, but I heard that it's a nightmare.

We test drove it and my wife liked it more than the Aston V8 Vantage. I liked the car - if I still lived in SoCal, it'd be a great daily driver. However, we get weather here, so I needed something with more traction... It's a gorgeous car, especially in person.

I couldn't agree more... A friend of min in Kansas City, KA ships his out on a flatbed to St. Louis once a month for service. The sound is incredible but the maintenance is a nightmare...
