Sorry Alex, I can't disagree more. One of the corniest, sappiest things I've seen. Okay, maybe a bit sexy and obviously filmed well, but it makes my hair crawl...

The NSX is one of my all-time favorites, and I remember watching Ayrton hit the wall and die at the Tamburello Curve, but this video does nothing to inspire me....sorry, but just had to say it. The better video to me is watching him dance an NSX around the track in Japan wearing loafers--simply insane. Find it on YouTube.

The connection NSX/Senna is tenuous at best. He was a consultant but never raced NSX cars.

He was an F1 driver during that time and helped design NSX. Probably the best sports car out of Japan!

Oh yeah, this is incredible. I did post this exact video earlier. One of the reasons I still enjoy manual shifting!

I said he was a consultant. He did not design anything, rather he influenced final rigidity bracing and suspension tuning. Fittipaldi did same for other marques.

Correct. Not like any of the drivers are car designers.

I just watched some of the old Senna F1 races... makes today's F1 races SUPER BORING. Love the wheel to wheel competition of the 90s!

Wrong and Fail.

He gave input on the prototype NSX for Honda engineers. It made the NSX what it was. His input resulted in a chassis that was 50x stronger and helped dial in the suspension.

He owned like 6 or so...Something like 2 in Brazil, 2 in Portugal, 1 in Monaco, etc etc.

He raced F1...I was unaware that racing an NSX was the yardstick for measuring racing prowess.

I suppose Schumacher's relationship with Ferrari was tenuous as well?

OK. No need to be so worked up. So I am wrong and I have failed in your opinion. If that's what you think it's fine by me. However, IMO, I think Senna da Silva's relationship with Honda is far less important than Schumacher's with Ferrari - my opinion, of course. Sorry for ruffling some feathers.

And another thing... Senna's input re the NSX rigidity led the engineering team to increase the car's rigidity by 50% (so says the ref you provided) a far cry from the 50x you claimed.

An interesting video, thanks for posting. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I think it would work well in a Gran Turismo like video game.

The Senna movie trailer on the other hand I really enjoyed. Brought back strong memories of watching the epic struggle unfold between Senna & Prost back in the day, and watching the San Marino race live on TV when he met his tragic end. My heart sank again just watching the short clip of him sitting motionless in his Williams.
