This at least is a special model. The GTS with the exception of the wider body is a Tequipment packaged exercise.

I'm trying, but all I can think is...ugly. Seriously, seriously ugly. The Pontiac Aztec of Porsches. Truly.

Aside from the fact that it's redundant. Really, why not put a 911 motor in the (far more attractive) Boxster S and call it a Speedster? It's not like there's a real advantage to it being a 911 if you've taken the rear seats out. I suppose Porsche is banking on 911 owner egos to chose this over a Boxster S. Suckers.

Oh, c'mon. Money no object, who here doesn't wanna park one of these in your garage for a few decades and sell it at an auction for a Brazillion dollars? I'd opt for the white one, tho.

Top Gear lists the car at 144.100 euros. For its performance numbers and my budget, no thanks. If I were a serious collector, with more cash to burn, yes please.

This thing looks awkward to me and I agree that its only upside appears to be future resale potential for the bubble wrap buyers.

Can you point to the page in the Tequipment catalog that indicates the part number and price for centerlock RS wheels? Thanks.

Jalopnik is reporting a price of 201,682 Euros ($265,000) (http://jalopnik.com/5643726/porsche-...yline=true&s=i).

Gee, do I buy a GT3 and an original 356 Speedster, or do I buy this one? I could probably think of 200 cars I would rather have for that money.

The 911 Speedster I have never understood.

Why pay premium for a bad roof?

Cool

Repent! Repent! The end is nigh!

1989: Lots of 911 models to pick from, including a Speedster - end of the 911 era.
1994: Lots of 964 models to pick from, including a Speedster - end of the 964 era (and upright headlights).
2010/2011: Lots of 997 models to pick from, including a Speedster...
