I think the real issue with the double humps is that it will take away from the utility of the back seats. (Do we even know if there will be seats fitted back there--often on the Speedsters those go away). I think that mechanism complicates things a bit back there.

If I had the means to afford multiple exotic cars, the Speedster would certainly warrant consideration for me. But for $40K more, I'd be very tempted to get the GT2 RS.

Epic Fail - accoding to Top Gear! :)
I really do not understand the appeal for this car, apart from being unique vs. other Carreras.
Top Gear calls it an Epic Fail, compared to 356!

So... the price. Right. Ready for this? The Speedster starts at £144,100, which is £15,000 more than a 911 GT2. That's a lot of money. It'll be limited to just 356 examples, presumably because there aren't very many people in the world who are prepared to shell out Lambo Gallardo Spyder money for a 911 Carrera S cabrio with a stubby windscreen.

I really think it gives the Porsche Exclusive department something to do to keep them employed during tight times. I personally think it's a fine idea, and Porsche will no doubt sell everyone. In many respects, Porsche is like Leica. They will build anything as custom as someone is willing to pay. It still works like every other car, but it just gains a few bells and whistles while charging a fortune for it.
