Default on my 997.1: How do I match the fog lights with my xenons?

Are the hoen bulbs the best way? Anyone done this and happy? Seems like an easy way to make the lights look better.

Would love to see pictures too.

Thanks!

I think I saw a post a while back on upgrading bulbs, so a search I am sure it's covered.

Bought the HOEN bulbs (H8 35w) but have not put them in yet. I'll put them in tomorrow (Labor Day) and respond back

What's wrong with the lights? Look better in what way?

On my car (and I think all 997.1s), the fog lights have a yellow hue and don't match the color of the beam from the xenon headlights.

it's my understanding that if you manage to match the color temperature you will give up some brightness out of the 'foglights.' They're barely useful as it is. If you increase the wattage you may risk heat damage.

I replaced the OEM fogs with the yellow Hoen fog lights...very happy with the results.

I had originally ordered the brighter Hoen fog light replacement bulbs (to match the HID headlights) and I recall that the bulbs burnt out very quickly...leading me to believe there was a temperature issue.

Here you go. The color match is excellent, but as Dan states, light emitted is less than stock.

I'm going to swap them out as Frino did for the HOEN Endurance fogs and give those a shot.

Noce color temp match. They are a sort of silly light. Obviously Porsche thought so as well as they essentially dropped them with the 997.2 cars.

PIAA hyper whites. Hoen's lasted me about 2 months. I've always had great experiences with PIAA bulbs in my other cars as they do make some of the best bulbs in the industry. There is obviously a premium on them but you won't regret it. Wattage is also matched.

No...Meteor Gray Metalic. Hard to tell unless your right next to the other color.
