Sirius unit is in the frunk. Need to run antenna wire thru a rubber plug that separates the frunk to the left of the batery area that other wires run thru.

Is this something a Best Buy would be capable of installing?

The NavTV product has two boxes - the Sirius box is mounted under the passenger cowling in the trunk and that's where my antenna is too. The NavTV box is smaller and is in a compartment with accessible door right above the OEM navigation unit also in the trunk.

The antenna is mounted UNDER the plastic? I added XM on my .2GT3 and put the antenna on the dash as far forward as I could. Doesn't work that well when going north so I'm thinking of moving it. I use the AUX input as I don't have NAV, just the regular ****ty radio...

The signal goes through the plastic cowling???

Yes, the signal goes thru the plastic cowling. The plastic cowling is not very thick. This was the OEM mounting spot before the "warts" were added.

Had the same under the cowling mount on my -06 . I'd say the reception was every bit as good as with the roof mounted wart on my current car.

I still get cutouts under tree lined streets and some hills.
