MSRP: $171,835.
This will be my 6th 911. Can't wait.

There are several other interesting leather bits I like, not even sure what they're called but the vent area and center speaker at the base of the windshield, the ceiling light and homelink area in front of the sunroof. the door finishers, and a piece often missed (may not apply to PDK) between the shift boot and the PCM console.
Also Porsche crest on the seat headrests or center console lid. Very nice.
You may also consider deviated stitching if you don't think it would be over the top.

I realize silver is pretty common, but it's also classic, and GT Silver is a nice subtle variation.
Dan, I've always admired your insight, and actually love your color combination. I thought for a second to reprise the deep (almost eggplant) purple Porsche had in the early '70's, but kind of chickened out. I always loved that with their saddle interior.
I was also considering black with natural brown, but I like the aluminum accents against the black.
Jastx, like your idea on the deviated stitching, I'll have to consider that.

that would be an excellent although very bold color choice and would translate in difficult resale... But oh so gorgeous.
I would go with deviated stitching as well.
Have you considered leaving the center console painted in GT silver rather than covering it with leather? My cobalt blue C4S had that and it was a very nice bright accent in the interior. With silver deviated stitching that could work... and silver seatbelts...
Good luck with her, I hope the wait is short!

Recommend center console of leather over painting any day. Leather takes the hits better.
Regarding a P.T.S. 'difficult' color, you will find that the competition amongst all the silver car sellers hurts them at resale. There are too many of them. Now if you had an aubergine Turbo...

Well done on options and good luck on your new turbo. Regarding color, what about match to sample, if there is a color you really like, is that still an option at time of order?

I like polar silver better than ice blue, methinks. Have yet to see a 997 with polar silver, which i really like with sea blue leather. anyone with pics?

Dan, yes, aubergine is the color. I too have an original brochure from 1972 showing the car. (My 1972 911T was Porsche's medium brown, a true 70's color.) As much as I love aubergine, it would probably be hell for resale. I'm not confident about choosing a color to sample, so GT Silver it is. As to painting the center console, I'm having it finished in leather, as I like the all black interior, with aluminum accents.
