If contrast stitching represents 'posing' (which is ridiculous) then so do many other Porsche attributes that happen to be aesthetic.
Porsche has nothing to apologize for in its claims, imho.

And VW doesn't own Porsche it just has a major say at family gatherings An integrated merger of sorts which is very different than being bought and owned by a parent company like BMW.
The Mini as most today have only experienced is nothing like the original Mini that made the car what it was. Also having personal experience with the brand (the pre-BMW car) it was a better car before BMW took it over.
And yes...98th victory for Porsche at Le Mans with the GT2 class win today but I guess to some that probably is just posing.

This Mini response to Von Platen's reply sounds like desperation.

Aaaah, the biting flies of summer.
Look, it's like boxing... if you want a shot at the champ, then work your way up through the ranks like he did. DONT be a priss and whine "not fair" when you show up on your first day and ask for a bout with the champ. In this case, the champ has won Le Mans 16 TIMES! Mini? Not so much.
"Those who can already have, those who can't try to ride coat tails." - paraphrase by me.
Flies... just swat 'em.

Does anyone have any idea what a 911 lap time would be for Road Atlanta? Surely someone here has lapped it during a PCA DE.

My original question was in response to a MINI race driver (I've owned both and follow both forums) who thinks a MINI can lap RA within 5 seconds of a 911. I couldn't find any good lap times for what a 911 should be able to run the full track in.
If only I still had mine... Maybe I'll put $100 down on fastest lap at the next DE. His MINI vs. my C63.

Not that any of the times are necessarily directly comparable due to different drivers and conditions etc but the Mini Cooper S Works was quite a bit slower @1.34 than the 997 times (1.26 and 1.29) around the Top Gear test track - and both of the 997 times were recorded in the wet...
