I'm in the same boat. If all you're concerned is sound, then consensus here seems PSE which is probably what I'll end up doing. Love the looks and love the sound!

I have the PSE on my car but AWE, Tubi and Borla all make great exhausts.

"Great looks" as to stock PSE? Are you serious? Yes, the current circumcised hot dog exhaust tips are indeed smokin' Ummm...no. I'd recommend AWE with the AWE tips so as to avoid the truly hideous stock PSE tips

Hi,

I've had the full AWE system on the 997.1S and absolutely loved it. The sound is incredible, although too loud for my wife and son. Also, the CAT doesn't pass smog in California.

I am not an expert but I absolutely loved the feel and sound of the full system -- as well as the impact to performance.

Good luck.

One man's "great sound" is another's "drone". Stay with the Porsche stuff; PSE has a sound you won't tire of and no downside (except maybe cost).
