Does the spoiler button light illuminate when the spoiler is up?

No. It's on only when you manually intervene with the process. It is also on with an alert if it malfunctions

Now I just need to wire the PCM screen to a camera pointed at the spoiler ...

The sensors and systems in the car compute the actual speed. When that hits 75mph, it signals the spoiler to deploy.

That 75mph signal is also sent to the speedometer displays and there it is 'adjusted' to display 77, for example. its just a difference between the measured value and what is displayed. The spoiler is driven by the actual measured value, not the displayed value, which is for human eyeball consumption only.

dan, this is an incomplete experiment. we need telemetry data: speed, ambient temp, time of day, which house of the zodiac the sun is in...

otherwise how will we know EXACTLY when and why this freak of nature goes up and down!!!

Yeah right. I can never "feel" if the spoiler is up no matter how fast I drive. I guess I'm not a real Porsche enthusiast. Ridiculous

Senna couldn't "feel" the "effect" of the spoiler at 75mph.

I can see the top of my techart when it's deployed Can't feel any difference...nothing when you're under triple digits anyway. I just like that it's designed to work with the stock wing both when down and when up.

Unfortunately no speed is indicated but if the local constabulary asks I never exceeded 45mph. It can be deployed manually remember
Of course you didn't. After all, that minivan almost caught you!
