Default Booster Seat that fits in a 2008 Carrera 4S Cabriolet

I have scanned the existing booster seat threads but they all suggest hard to find/ discontinued seats.

I found one that looks promising. Maxi-Cosi Rodi XR Booster Car Seat. Has anyone tried it in a 997.1 C4S Cab? Looks like it should fit but I would love to get a confirmation before I order it.

PS
Hello, I am a new Powner. Been scanning these threads for days looking for exciting mods. Baby seat is most important mod as it will enable me to drive the car more often...

This one fits fairly well--by Grayco. He likes having his own window!

@rvklein, thanks for the link. I will keep an eye on that porsche booster.

@edgy01, do you know which model Grayco that is? Cute kid by the way.

The Combi Dakota fits very well in the back. It is a backless booster but the seat belts are at about the correct height for most small children so it works fine. Also, since it is backless the child sits further back than they would with a full booster seat so you do not have to slide the passengers seat too far forward. This is importnat if you have anyone other than another child sitting in the passenger seat.

I use the Porsche Plus Booster seat in the front sometimes as well.

The Combi Dakota looks great but my only concern with it is that it does not have any side impact protection. My son is almost 3 and just barely 40lbs so I think he is too small for that.

Does the Porsche Plus Booster fit in the back? I am torn between the Porsche Booster and the Maxi-Cosi Rodi XR Booster. Maxi-Cosi looks more comfy and cushioned but cant find it locally in NYC and would have to order it to find out if it fits. I have found other threads that confirm it works in a 996 Coupe but nothing about a 997 cab.

Does the Porsche Plus Booster fit in the back?
Yes. My four (almost 5) year old uses it in the back. It fits either with the seat cushion in or out.

The Porsche Plus is a very nice seat and it does fit in back although it pushes the child pretty far forward due to the angle of the folding back rest in the back seat. If you are going to leave the booster seat in the car all or most of the time I would remove the backrest.

Tried the Graco Turbobooster (Smallest seat available from Kids R Us) and it did not work. Going to look at a few more stores locally and then I want to give the Maxi Cosi a shot.

I did the same, and target, babies r us, burlington baby world, etc, the big stores had nothing narrower than 16". I went to a boutique shop to pick up the one I bought, and got some cool automoblox too....

The one I am using is about 14" wide

I have a Fisher Price Safe Voyage booster with removable back and optional side cupholder. It fits great with an adjustable width less than 14". It was actually made by Britax but unfortunately was discontinued at the time I was shopping. I was lucky enough to find a few extra when I bought one for my daughter, so I snagged all they had (one for my wife's S6 with rear bench bucket seats and the others for potential passenger nieces and nephews). So far we haven't used those others, so I have them available if anyone is interested. They are still new in the box. Just send me a PM if interested or if you have any more questions about this model.

You better get a roll cage for him!
