Default What Are you Guys Paying For Oil Changes Right Now?

Just curious. Anyone paying significantly less than $300 from the dealer?

$192 for my last oil change at the dealer. No matter how cheap it is to do on my own I consider it cheap insurance for so long as my car is under warranty. You spend a little more here and there on routine maintenance but it builds a better relationship with your dealer that could pay off later if you ever need a new engine under warranty or something catastrophic like that.

I brought the OEM oil filter & ring which were purchased from Suncoast and the oil purchased on sale from auto parts store to the Porsche dealer in MD who charged me $ 85 labor.

Summary:
Oil 6.5 * 10 = $65
Filter & ring = 15
Labor = 85
TOTAL 165

Savings = Priceless

Save some more $$ by changing your own oil. I'm to old to get under the pcar any more. Also, I believe its important to have dealer perform routine service for warranty reasons.

Thank you for your prompt replies, gentlemen.

I like your prices better than mine. I'll work on the dealer a bit.

My local dealers are asking $250, so I'm going with an indy for $150.

There is no easier service to perform yourself than an oil change. How much do you pay for someone to fill your fuel tank with gas?

Oil on sale for $5.50/qt.x8= $44.00 (Mobil 0W40)
Oil Filter Suncoast 1x $17.50 17.50
Drain plug/washer 1x $4.90= 4.90
Oil analysis 22.00
Total $88.50

Fun getting your hands dirty cleaning the botton of the car. Priceless

You guys are lucky... over here (Serbia) at the authorized dealer for "small service" (oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter and air conditioning filter) total: USD 575.

Typically around $100. Does that sound high?
