One of the local dealerships wanted $285.
I did as Harvey in MD mentions. Suncoast for filter, ring, drain plug and washer, oil locally at 6:99 per qt, 8 qts, and 75 minutes of my time.
Knowing that I drained the oil as much as possible, put just the right amount (7.9 qt for my 997.2 C2S) and sequence (7 qt first to see where I am, and them 0.2 qt at a time), and applying the right amount of torque to the new drain plug and the filter housing, I am happy.

First oil change on the GT3 was $228 with PCA discount. Being that I'm very much a DIY type of guy, the price did seem excessive, at first. However, when I added it all up, I found the profit made on the parts was only ~$18 and the labor added another $101. That's a $119 premium to have someone else do the work for you and provide the parts. I think that is fair....
Dealer oil Change:
9.5 Quarts of oil $83
1 Filter $40.39
1 seal ring $3.24
1 pump seal $3.24
Total Parts $116.62 (with 10% discount)
Labor $101 (with 10% discount)
Drive to/from dealer 40min
Dealer wait time 1hr
Car wash FREE (no thanks!!!!)
Coffee FREE
Donuts FREE
Self Oil Change:
10 quarts oil $70
1 Filter $25 (w/shipping)
2 Seal Rings $3
Parts Total $98
Labor Free 1 hour
6pk of Beer $9 (Bell's Two Hearted)
Time to pick up parts 30 min
Time to take oil to recycle center 30 min
Time to order parts on-line 10 min
Time to wait for parts 3 days
Conclusion - if I want to drink coffee and eat donuts, I go to the dealer. If I want to drink good beer and get dirty, I do it myself.

All those filters make a difference. Other than the oil filter, the rest don't need to be replaced every time you go in but "aggressive" dealerships do it anyway. Honest dealers will drain the oil, put in a new filter and new oil and send you home with a $200 to $250 receipt.

"I brought the OEM oil filter & ring which were purchased from Suncoast and the oil purchased on sale from auto parts store to the Porsche dealer in MD who charged me $ 85 labor.
Summary:
Oil 6.5 * 10 = $65
Filter & ring = 15
Labor = 85
TOTAL 165
Savings = Priceless"
WHICH Porsche dealer in Maryland?? Thanks!

$99 at my local dealer. Just got an email that through 4/30 oil and filter changes are $99. Will bring my 997.2 S and 987 Boxster S there in April.

The only local dealer within 2 hours charges 1.5 units of labour at $110/hr + oil and filter.
I can see .5 but 1.5 sounds a little excessive.
If it was under $200 I'd take it to them just to build the good relationship.
