Default Michelin Cup tires - question

I have a 2009 CS and thinking of the Michelin PS Cup+ tires.
As this will be for road use mainly i have a few questions..

- How bad are they in the wet? Are they dangerous when its raining?
- Does comfort and noise detiriotare?

Great tires for the track as they are street legal thus you can change tires at home. For daily driving a waste of money. Because of their soft compound they wear rapidly, you may get 5000 miles or so on the street. In the wet the reduced size and depth of the grooves make it dicey. If you want Mich. go to the PS2's for the street and not cups. Yes I know cup tires are standard on the GT3 but it is for all out performance and not necessarily day to day driving. As reference the Porsche Sport Driving school shods all their cars with PS 2's and they work well wet and dry on the track

Thanks, thats very helpful.
So if I go to the PS2, are there different versions of that tire?
ex. specific for Porsche? Or a newest development?

PS2 are great tires but expensive. they feel a bit hard on 19" rims. if you are after comfort you may be better with RE-11 potenzas, they will have a bit less grip but will be softer and quieter than PS2.

You can see what tirerack has for sale for PS2, I would not be overly concerned about N1 vs N2 variations diffs. Whichever one is on sale is good enough. Some folks praised nitto invos but this tires has very mixed reviews. PS2 is generally considered a standard and I do not know if there is another non-R compound non-racing regular street tire with better grip.

Stay a way from the cups for the rain. These tires are not needed for everyday street driving... Really no r- comp tire is

Track and only dry weather. You don't want to be caught on wet roads with these tires.
