Doing the whole car seems like way overkill. You're going to lose some shine, but reduce your waxing and claying I suppose.
How thick is your material? I had one shop offer to put on 11mils, which I swear was three times thicker than scotch tape. In fact, I put a 4-6 inch piece on our granite counter tops to see how long it would take my wife to find it and tear it off. It's still there, unnoticed. Thin is nice, but I can't imagine it providing any protection.
The work is first rate, no doubt.

A Gallardo was damaged by some vandals who wanted the emblem on the hood....they decided to use a metal object to pry on it. Fortunately the hood was covered.

The fluorescent lighting looks "ragged" through the film, but on bare paint or in the window, it is clear and sharp. It serves a purpose, but it's definitely at a "visual" cost.

Speaking of cost, Premier has been asked countless times in this thread and the others duplicated on numerous Porsche forums, about ball park costing to have this done.
A fair question, when promoting a product, but they have thus far skirted it entirely in every case...... Very curious behaviour.

However, they could state a range and qualify their statement accordingly.

That's mad...but hey if he's got a GT3 then what's $5k to hermetically seal his car?

I equate this to people who wrap crappy furniture in plastic. Fine, well made furniture using the finest leathers and fabrics need to felt & seen for their true beauty. Wrapping a GT3 in plastic may look like an amazing project, and I can admire the skill it took, but doing so undermines everything the GT3 is, the cost, the gorgeous design, the incredible paint job... The more something cost, the more natural and true one should want it to be. An antique would have no value if not for age, history, and use.

That's an impeccable job wrapping the whole car. I can imagine the level of meticulousness and attention to detail it took. Regardless of cost, however, I'm totally not into protective films. I want to see and feel the beauty of the 911 design in all its natural glory.

I would never be drawn into an argument about their work as their reputation is incredible, and their work is obviously top notch.
I was reading recently how many shops are going with thinner material as it's easier to lay and work out bubbles. Personally, I had some thick stuff on my 997S and took it off. However, I would never go without it again. I'd go thick, and I'd cover the bumper but leave the hood alone. I just hate the way it looks and feels. But I understand why people would want to have it.

I wasn't 100% sure if I wanted clear bra when I bought my 04 GT3 new. In hindsight, I should have. Thanks to Pacific Porsche
, they spilled one little drop of acid on my fender while changing the battery few years ago. If I had a clear bra, I bet there was a good chance I may not have to repaint one of the fender.
Another protection I can think of is bird poop. I had to leave my daily vehicle at work for 4 weeks few months back. It was left outside as I didn't think of it much, it is leased
When I came back, it was dirty of course and some bird poops here and there, oh well. Took it to the automatic car wash but still had to rub off few stubborn ones. Then I found one really stubborn poop that actually ate into the paint. By the time I got it off, so did some of the paint.
I also have a black Cayenne, after every wash, I wish I have time to wax out the hairline scratches.
So yeah, I am sure I will be wrapping my next vehicle, especially if it is black.

Doing something like this is pretty hardcore. I hate rock chips. I can't stand rock chips. I have the whole front end on my car clear bra'd. I would do this, if I was to buy a new 911. I don't find it bothers me on my car, but it is Arctic Silver. It's harder to see on lighter colors.

It looks nice...today. I always marvel at the install pics. I want to know what this looks like in only 1 or 2 years. Someone that wants to keep the car for a long, long time?? It may not fade, but it certainly will scratch. How do you wax or polish this stuff? I know you spray Plexus on it, but for years?
I've had mine done for WAY below the going rate. This is a VERY expensive job. Even with precut sheets, the usual full front job is $2k. Not even close to the additional cost it would be for the top, doors and the whole rear. If you do a full wrap, might as well do it in matt black or something else exotic while you're at it.

The owner of that GT3 probably has his furniture wrapped at home as well. I am sure they are going to keep it a long time as well. I think wrapping the whole car is crazy but to each his own.

The product is 8.5 mils thick. Actually offers a very good amount of protection. Take a look here:

How about this one. They changed the complete color of a CLK63 Black Series.
