Premier Signature Full Body Clear Bra Wrap - '10 GT3

Reminds me of my grandma's sofa when I was kid. Get a nice soft couch then cover it with plastic to protect it. Nothing like trying to get comfortable on a sofa covered with what a "sofa prophylactic." Same thing here, why cover up a great paint job? Are you really ever going to "uncover" it by having the paint protection removed? I just don't get it. Are you going to put some sweet '80's sheepskin seat covers on too? Maybe some plastic floormats to protect the carpet? How about a steering wheel cover? Where does it stop????

I agreed with the comment about going for a matte black finish if the whole vehicle is wrapped.
Cult energy drink has a -RUF CGT - wrapped matte black - factory silver - I think it was about $7.5k - on a $448,300 its a deal.
They also have other silly project cars - 1k HP challengers, a tank... they brought the CGT and the tank as a marketing/ promotion to put out front of a rock show my friends were headlining.
dang can't find a picture on the net but you guys may find it.. search cult energy drink if your bored.

Thank you for your opinion. As mentioned earlier this is not for everyone. The purpose of this thread is to show the options available for paint protection when proper skilled is aligned with an excellent product. For many here, having their vehicle protected means that they would be able to enjoy driving his / her vehicle without worrying about road conditions. Our product is much different than say the stuff used to cover furniture. The product is not just a clear urethane, but it's technology is far beyond the typical couch wraps. It is thermally treated with a clearcoat similar to that on paint. To make such a comparison to our product / service would be incorrect as the product is nearly invisible (if installed properly).

My comments and opinions on this are in no way directed towards Premier. From what you showed you did a great job covering the car. The marketing benefit of this is worth its weight in gold and you should show it off.

The work done by Premier does seem quite nice - no doubt. However, for those of us located 3000 miles (one way!) from their locations, what is the alternative. Namely around Central Florida.
I don't mind driving a bit to have the best possible job done, but 6000 miles is a bit extreme!
Premier; I suspect you've heard plenty about all kinds of installers. If you were within 500 miles I would be driving to you now, but you're not. Could you recommend someone in the area?

Still from my post way earlier, these always look great out of the box. I had mine done with Venture Shield and it is perfect as well. I just wonder what they look like 2-3 years down the road. For $2k plus to do the front end, it is pretty painful to strip it in 2 years. For what I paid, I easily strip it. I would have preferred not to do it and do the orbital wax every 6 months, but as a DD I felt I needed the protection from chips. If you track it, that shield isn't going to last 6 months anyway. You won't have any chips, but the shield is going to look like crap. At least you protect the paint, but there will be marks all over it.

It looks nice...today. I always marvel at the install pics. I want to know what this looks like in only 1 or 2 years. Someone that wants to keep the car for a long, long time?? It may not fade, but it certainly will scratch. How do you wax or polish this stuff? I know you spray Plexus on it, but for years?
I've had mine done for WAY below the going rate. This is a VERY expensive job. Even with precut sheets, the usual full front job is $2k. Not even close to the additional cost it would be for the top, doors and the whole rear. If you do a full wrap, might as well do it in matt black or something else exotic while you're at it.

Actually Plexus is not good for the film. Butane is part of the chemical formulation in it that will dry the film out and cause premature yellowing. As for matte black or any traditional vinyl work, it does not provide any protective capabilities as vinyl is about 2 mils thick. Paint protection film is 8-8.5 mils thick...a significant difference in protection.

Premier;
I don't think you would be purposely ignoring my question, so I am just going to ask again. No doubt plenty of the East coast would enjoy getting a bit of advice and if more people get great jobs done, they'll be more likely to say so and therefore more people will be interesting in having one done by proper installers. If they are in your area that might mean more business for you as well. Anyway, I really don't see a down side for you in sharing any info you may have in good installers located in areas far removed from you.
If you don't have any idea that is fine as well, but it would seem a bit odd.
Thanks for your response. Here is the questions again:
