Default Racing Green/Cocoa - Last Chance to Change My Mind

Putting aside resale issues (I am buying a car to please myself not as a speculation!), I am probably getting a C4 coupe in Porsche Racing Green with a Cocoa interior.

My last two cars were meteor gray metallic and (flat) black and I am tired of monochromes. That said, I'd be grateful for pictures, suggestions and comments on this color selection.

I'm confused. If you're buying the car to please yourself (which is good), and you like this color combo, why do you care what our opinions are?

Some people love cocoa interiors, some don't. Some like green exteriors, some don't. Some will like the combo, some won't. It is all subjective opinion. Go with what you like.

I also like green, it's a nice color combination I say go for it but I hope you mean a C4"S". It's worth the extra dough based on resale, performance, handling and ride IMO. Good luck!

One of the many advantages of buying a Porsche is that you can order it ANYWAY you wanted. My next Porsche is going to be orange with black and tan interior. Everyone is telling that I am crazy

I can not think of any reason why not to go with the combo you want, just make sure you post pictures once you get it.

As Kevin said above ^ color choice is subjective and really is a personal preference decision.

I like the Racing Green, but I am not one of those that likes the Cocoa brown interior. If had decided on a Racing Green exterior, I would go with the Natural Brown, which is close to a peanut butter color.

However, as Kevin said, if you like the Green/Cocoa combination, get it.

Agree - Racing Green with Nat Brown - classic. But Cocoa should be nice too. And agree with "S" too for the AWD.

Here is another Green car for comparison.

I think this car has been for sale for quite some time.

Green and almost any shade of brown/tan is a match - IMHO. If you prefer a very dark rich brown, cocoa is great. I have it and love it. I always buy first for myself, second for my better half (but when it's her car the order is reversed), and last and least for potential resale.

I've bought green cars and yellow cars in the past. I may or may not have lost something in resale value when they were sold. But heck I don't care if I did. Whatever amount I lost (if any) , was more than made up for by the happiness these colors brought me.

So I say go for it!

Agreed. Must have been ordered by either a pimp or a cosmetics salesperson. Their other car must be a pink Cadillac.

FI.

I like green also and am thinking about 09 luanch car in green for my wife.

But each time I check one out at a dealer I see them full of swirls marks. Almost as bad as black.

Just keep this in mind when you wash and wax that beauty.

Go for it. All the best.

my favorite green machine: http://sharkwerks.com/porsche/997-ca...rt-type-i.html

but I liked it better with the P43s than the final Techart wheels.

For me, my favorite wouldn't be that one, it would have to be ZKermit...

It's your personal preference ... but if it makes you feel better, I have seen the Porsche Racing Green in person and I think its a nice shade of green, and I think Cocoa or Natural Brown are both excellent matches with it.
