Porsche of West Houston gave me a Cayman S. I scheduled another service for a door check strap and window rattle and my SA told me he has limited loaners so I may have to wait a week or two.
I'm guessing it's much harder for them to keep an inventory of loaners since the basic Cayman costs nearly 60k.

Boardwalk Porsche in Dallas will provide a Porsche loaner if one is available (usually a Cayenne). If there aren't any available, they provide a free rental from Enterprise that's located at the Audi dealership next door.

Just got handed an '09 Cayman 6 spd with 1800 miles on the clock from Sonnen in Marin. Nice ride, a bit slow though, and I can't stand the hill holder clutch.
No good here in San Francisco, some of the fun of feathering the clutch on a steep hill is lost.

I want to ask are the buyers who are upset about not getting a porsche loaner (like the OP) the same ones that are asking for every dollar discount they can get from the same dealer?
just curious.

Hennessy here in ATL - they loan out PDK Caymans and Boxsters - couldn't talk 'em into giving me a 6spd - they said they had to stop that as too many people would wreck the clutches ![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Of course you have to book it - show up on the fly and you probably get a rentile.
I'd guess it depends on the market where you live. Here with BMW, MB, Lexus, etc all doing the loaners, any premium brand dealer probably has to, to compete.

i did take advantage of the discounts, the fact that porsche says i should get a porsche loaner is the reason im upset for not getting one.. if someone says you'll get something then they should stand by it.. not pawn you off on a jetta. if they said "hey we'll give you an additional 500$ off if you promise to only take jetta loaners" then thats a diff story, but i simply took advantage of the current rebates and bought the car because of that.
