997.2 TPMS question (additional set question)
ordered these from porsche, came with no instructions..
im guessing the shop chooses spacer on stem according to rim thickness where mounted? and then just the bolt goes thru sensor into stem back, to sit flush...
these were a totally new product # for 997.2 so im sure they are right, just making sure dont have to tell the shop anything before they are inside tires.
so basically:
A: do they need to be woken up, or does movement start this?
B: should they be double sided taped onto barrel or they will be fine just tightened down with the one bolt?
C: anything else i need to know?

Simply take that in when they mount the tire and they will take care of it. It's becoming quite routine now for the tire shops. All the necessary parts are there.
Also, these days the tire shops follow a standard practice of putting a regular black cap on non-TPMS tires/wheels, a silver one on the TPMS and a green one on the ones they fill with nitrogen.
The bolt on the outside is what secures it. No double stick tape is needed. The car's TPMS will eventually recognize it. You may need to go through the TPMS routine (wheel size, summer, etc.) to get the process started. And then it will eventually sort it out on it's own.
