Default 2005 997.1S value

I realize there are a lot of these requests so your help is much appreciated. Since many cars can be some what unique I was hoping for some help in the value of a 2005 997.1S with about 27,000 miles. Dealer indicates that car can be certified for $2,000. Car is Black/Black with the following options per the dealer advertisement.

[267] Self Dimming Mirrors [$385], [342] Heated Front Seats [$410], [450] Ceramic Composite Brakes (Pccb) [$8150], [640] Sport Chrono Pkg [$920], [670] Dvd-Based Navigation For Pcm [$2070], [680] Bose High End Sound Pkg [$1390], [P01l] Adaptive Sport Seats W/Leather [$2695], Black Full Leather[$3, 315]

Thanks to everyone for your help in getting a good idea of the price I should shoot for on this car.

Sounds like a launch car. I think a guy here just bought a 10,000 mile launch car for
51K

I am guessing around 50K

It is a launch car. If you can grab it for under $50k with the CPO--I'd say you did well.

I think it's really worth about $47K. another guy got one for $51K with less miles but he paid too much.

This is the time to negotiate with your feet. If they don't respond to you, walk away. There are SO many cars available right now. (Personally, I would avoid the 05 cars because of some growing pains in a new model).

The PCCBs are great,--unless some idiot owned it.

I paid 51k all in for the same car with 10,038 miles. I was happy with that since from what I could tell all the 45-49k cars had 40,000 miles + and the low miles cars were rare and expensive.

Dan, if someone were to find a car identical to yours with equivalent miles what would it be worth in todays market? Given that options don't hold much value I'd guess $53K. What are your thoughts?

C'mon, MLindgren, you should know the drill around here. As a buyer, every 997 for sale is overpriced. But as a seller, they should all go for top dollars.

As for the OP's question, I think it's a good deal if you can get CPO with it for anywhere near $50k.

The nice thing for me is they wouldn't find one! It doesn't exist.

More importantly, I hold on to my cars. I'm not that concerned about resale values because in another 12 years it won't matter at all. For those who buy a new car every 2-3 years it can be very troubling.
