Hello All - looking to work a fair and straightforward deal on a Cab in So Cal, but *shocker* can't find a dealer who isn't set on playing all the goofy games - hidden markups, "we don't do deals over the phone," "there's a brand new incentive - act today" - well, you get the picture. It's sad. I knew my guys back east and we just did business together (trying to avoid shipping charges)

Anyway, can anyone put me in touch with a dealer contact who actually wants to lease a car immediately in this economy?

Boy I feel your pain as I have been through this all week. I had 2 people in Porsche that were great but one is at a dealer that was purchased by a big company and his hands are now tied and the other is now the SM at their Audi store and can not cross sell.

It depends upon what you mean by quality. I've purchased several Porsches over the last 40 years and I have had the pleasure of dealing with several quality salesmen, but I define quality as someone who has in-depth knowledge about the product he's selling. It's important to keep in mind that the car salesman is an employee of the Dealership, and as a good employee it's his obligation to get the best deal for the Dealership.

+ 1 on Chirchick at Rusnak Westlake. I had a good, respectful, light on the bs purchase experience w/ him. Others have reported problems with Rusnak, but I imagine it depends in part on who you deal with.

I would recommend against buying from Auto Gallery.

+1 on Rusnak Westlake although the person I dealt with Jamie the fleet manager is no longer there , he's with Auto Gallery now. I'm from NorCal and bought a '06 997 & '08 Cayenne GTS sight unseen. He made the sale smooth & stress free.
