How To Disable the 997.2 Rear Wing in the "UP" Position
Sorry if this topic has been covered before, but I couldn't find it in the searches.
I just got a 2009 C2 Cab. I'm used to a fixed rear wing of some sort to "balance" the look of the car (to the likes of a GT3, or Turbo, etc). The rear wing is automatic in the 997.2 and can be raised manually, but it always defaults to the down/closed position.
Since I don't want the expense of a fixed rear wing/deck, and the front would then require a front splitter to look good... is there a way to disable the operation of the stock rear wing and keep it in the "UP" position?
Thanks

Attach a coat hanger with duct tape to the wing and you can see it while its up when you are underway. If you get goin fast enough you can even get airborne...but only if your wing is extended all the way.

That is biggest damn 911 poseur move out there.
I see Arab college students cruising like A-holes up and down Newbury St. in Boston at 5mph with their spoiler up looking for attention. Don't do it.

thats what happens when you have a silly question.. if god wanted 997.2's to have wings all the time.. he wouldnt have told the engineers to make it go up and down..

Funny.
I dislike things that move (up and down by themselves).....hence I've replaced all moving wings on the Porsches for years.
I do like the lines of the 09 C4S cab (wing down), and am contemplating not messing any more with the back end of this car (wife's) and not adding a stationary rear wing......so, I was going to ask simplest way to disable (and avoid S.error).
On the 996 I recall it was replacing the small spoiler harness with another.
No 'aero down force' advice needed.....I have cars for the north of 100 or 150 and appreciate the import there.
That would not be this car.
